Fight Club

Yes, that Fight Club. No, not that kind.

Let’s get the obvious out of the way.

Fight Club at Iron Skull Gym is a controlled sparring session for members, designed to apply skills in a safe, respectful and supervised environment. It is not about proving anything, and it is definitely not about winning.

It is about learning.

The first rule of Fight Club is…

Relax. We are allowed to talk about it.

What Fight Club is

Fight Club is a monthly sparring session focused on:

  • Timing and distance
  • Control under pressure
  • Respectful contact
  • Learning through experience

It is a place to test what you have been training in a realistic but responsible way.

What Fight Club is not

It is not:

  • A fight night
  • A competition
  • An ego check
  • A place to hurt people

If someone turns up looking for that, they usually realise very quickly this is not the room for them.

Structure and safety

Fight Club is always:

  • Supervised by coaches
  • Structured and controlled
  • Matched appropriately by size and experience
  • Stopped when needed

Participation is optional.
No one is forced to spar. Ever.

Who it is for

Fight Club is for members who:

  • Want to experience controlled sparring
  • Are comfortable applying skills under pressure
  • Understand that learning matters more than winning

If you are unsure whether it is right for you, speak to a coach first. That conversation is part of training too.

When it happens

Fight Club takes place on the last Friday of every month.

On that day, Fight Club runs instead of the regular Muay Thai class. The rest of the timetable remains unchanged.

This gives members a clear, predictable space for sparring without turning it into a weekly obligation.

A bit of honesty

Yes, we call it Fight Club.
Yes, that is on purpose.
No, it does not mean what you think.

There is laughter.
There is learning.
There is mutual respect.

And occasionally, there is a reminder that we are all still learning.

Final rule

The most important rule of Fight Club is simple.

Look after your training partners.

Without them, there is no Fight Club.
